Milan forward Alexander Pato has stated that he has high hopes for the side's future. At the tender age of 19, Alexandre Pato is already one of the world’s most talented strikers. With injuries sidelining Marco Borriello and Kaka for much of the season, and Andriy Shevchenko failing to recapture his old form, the young Brazilian has carried the weight of Milan’s attack for large parts of the current campaign.
Now, the youngster has said he wants to win the Champions League next term.
“Next year, I want the big-eared cup with Milan,” Pato said, according to TuttoMercatoWeb. “This season I believe Barcelona will win it.”
In order for 'the Duck' to get his wish, Milan will need to clear their injury list, and shore up their defence.
It has been confirmed that they will not be shopping for a ‘keeper this summer, despite the fact that first choice custodian Christian Abbiati needs surgery following ligament damage.
If Kaka and Borriello were fully fit, Pato would have quite an impressive array of talent at his side up front, something he has been missing this term.
Despite this, he has scored 14 times this season.
