Manchester City Increase Buffon Bid To €100m

City have increased the money on show for Buffon, but will the Juventus directors take a look at it?

Juventus are preparing themselves to weather the storm which is about to strike at Vinovo as Manchester City prepare to launch a €100 million bid for Gianluigi Buffon.

The goalkeeper has just returned from injury and Tuttosport claim his time with the Old Lady could be limited as the rich Premier League side come galloping with a bag full of cash.

Reports suggest the rich Arab owners have sent their negotiators to Italy in an attempt to convince the Bianconeri with a mountain of money.

A mega deal is being touted for the goalkeeper and, with the global credit crisis affecting everyone, the money would be more than welcome in Turin.

The Old Lady could either buy a whole new squad of good players with the cash, or they could instantly pay the costs of their new stadium, and have some change left over.

However, despite the constant speculation, both Juve and Buffon's agent Silvano Martina have continually denied a possible exit.
