Roma have consistently played second fiddle to Inter in Serie A in recent seasons and once again the Nerazzurri are leading the pack this campaign.

Francesco Totti knows it will no easy task to catch Inter and spoke about Jose Mourinho's side on Monday.

"The Nerazzurri are a very, very competitive side," he told Tg1. "Every year they buy players of the highest level. When they have 30 to 35 players, it is difficult for other sides to keep up."

The Giallorossi talisman then had a suggestion to ensure more equality between clubs in Italy: "Perhaps they could put a limit on purchases."

Totti is currently recovering from injury and hopes to be back in time for Roma's matches with Arsenal in the Champions League. Meanwhile, I Lupi are 19 points behind Inter in Serie A.
