Torino Player in Serious Car Accident

Angelo Obinze Ogbonna lost control of his car and flew off a bridge. It's a miracle that he's still alive, reports claim.
Torino defender Angelo Obinze Ogbonna has been rushed to hospital after a serious car accident in Turin this morning. Ogbonna now faces a lengthy period on the sidelines as he has fractured his shoulder.

The accident happened in the Beinasco area of Turin near the Sangone stream this morning. The stopper lost control of his Smart car, veering off the road end ending up in the torrent. He was pulled out from the wreckage by fire fighters and police.

Ogbonna was then rushed to the San Luigi di Orbassano hospital where he is receiving further treatment. Reports claim the player is lucky to be alive as his car flew off the ground violently.

The cause of the accident is not yet known but it is believed fog and bad weather are the main reasons for the sudden loss of control.

The police are currently investigating. The young defender was outstanding against Napoli on Sunday as Toro got back to winning ways with a 1-0 win. However, the Italo-Nigerian is likely to be out for several weeks.
