Roma Fans Arrested For Looting
Although Roma won on Sunday, there was more doom and gloom for the club's already tattered image as fans turned to looting.
A number of Roma fans who travelled to Lecce to see there side win 3-0 were arrested by Police for looting after they stole a number of items from a service station on their way to the game.
The youngsters who are all between 21 and 27 years old were captured by the authorities after they were caught on camera at the Canne Della Battaglia petrol staion near Bari.
The images from the station were swiftly passed onto a special surveilance team who were waiting to pick up the perpatrators at the Via Del Mare stadium.
Police recognised the gang instantly and they were arrested on their way into the ground.
Police are investigating the crime. Reports suggest the looters stole items amounting to the value of just €20 which begs the question as to whether their trouble was worth the hassle. They now face the consequences of the Italian justice system who will decide.
It's not the first time groups of fans in Serie A have gone on the rampage. Many will remember the shameful incidents when Roma played Napoli at the start of the season.
