Pato To Earn Start For Milan

Milan’s Alexandre Pato is set to be recalled to the starting line-up for his side’s clash with Torino this weekend.

The Rossoneri are in second position at present, just one point off the pace set by the league leaders Inter Milan.

The Nerazzurri face Juventus in the Derby D’Italia this weekend, meaning that a positive result against Torino for Milan could result in them reclaiming top spot by the conclusion of the round.

They are undefeated in their past nine league matches, and will be looking to make it ten this weekend at the Olimpico in Turin.

Milan’s Brazilian contingent have been the protagonists of this outstanding run of results, with the likes of Kaka and Ronaldinho consistently proving why they are up there with the best players of all time.

For this contest, it has been reported that Carlo Ancelotti will turn to his young starlet Alexandre Pato by recalling him to the starting line-up to form an all-Brazlian forward trident consisting of himself, Kaka and Ronnie.

The young Brazilian striker has missed his side’s last three games, against Napoli, Lecce and Chievo, as he has had to contend with a spot on the bench, with the likes of Pippo Inzaghi and Marco Borriello playing ahead of him.

However, due to the fact that he was not given any playing time in his nation’s 6-2 demolition of Portugal midweek, Ancelotti is highly considering utilizing him from the start this weekend.

Pato has not scored since September 24, in his side’s 2-1 triumph over Reggina in Calabria. He will be looking to alter that this weekend, if given the opportunity, whilst he will also be keen to cement his spot as the centre forward of the Rossoneri with a good showing away from home.

Their match with Torino gets underway this Sunday at 20:30 CET.
