Galliani Thrilled With Beckham Signing
Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani is overjoyed with the loan signing of David Beckham for a three month period, and is eagerly anticipating his arrival early next year.
Earlier today, AC Milan declared that the loan signing of David Beckham was official, and that the Englishman would be joining the club for a three month period, from the 7th of January 2009.
Immediately following the announcement, Milan’s Vice President Adriano Galliani stated that, “Beckham has finally become reality, and is no longer a dream.”
After more than four hours of negotiations, Galliani and the club were thrilled to have finally reached an agreement to secure the loan of the English star, from his American club Los Angeles Galaxy for a few months next year.
Following the three month loan period, it is expected that Beckham will return back to California, and continue his playing career with the Galaxy.
It has been rumored however that the Rossoneri may be keen to sign the former English captain on a more permanent basis; however Galliani has ruled this out, by saying that, “nobody has talked about an outright transfer here, as the idea is simply not feasible.”
“Beckham has a contract with the Galaxy, and they have no intentions of releasing him, and even so, he has many sponsorship deals that he must attend to back in America,” he concluded.
Beckham’s arrival in early January means that he could play his first game for the Rossoneri against Roma, in the 18th match day of the Serie A.
