This number has now gone up to 10, after they officially completed the capture of Udinese pair Langella and Pinzi.
The duo arrive on a one-year loan deal, but Chievo have the option next summer of turning Langella’s move into a permanent one, and can also then buy half of Pinzi’s contract.
Langella only arrived at Udinese at the end of May on a free transfer from Atalanta, but the 31-year-old is already out of the Stadio Friuli door. He had a fine season with the Nerazzurri last term, scoring eight goals in 26 Serie A appearances, and will be hoping for much of the same this coming campaign.
Pinzi, meanwhile, had a miserable 2007/08 with Udinese, making just 13 Serie A appearances due to injury, and he will be hoping to get his career back on track in Verona.
Both player’s come with pedigree, having won caps for the Italy national team, and their experience will be vital if Chievo are to stay in Serie A this year.
