Roma have been active in the transfer market in the summer, but the Giallorossi are still unconfident about their attacking options. Thus, the club have been making enquiries about various forwards throughout Europe.

One such player is Real Madrid's Brazilian attacker Julio Baptista, reported to be a virtual certainty to join the capital club in the next few days. Once this deal is complete, Roma will turn their attention to Scudetto holders Inter Milan in an attempt to bring David Suazo to the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma management are said to see the Honduran as a viable solution to their problems in attack, where backup for Mirko Vucinic and Francesco Totti was seriously lacking last season. According to Sky, the Giallorossi are willing to offer €10million to the Milan giants in exchange for the players signature. The player himself will reportedly earn around €2.5m-per-season during a four year contract.

Inter coach Jose Mourinho is keen to decrease the squad size, leaving the door open for Suazo to catch the train to Rome. The move would allow the 28-year-old striker more playing time - something he is lacking at his current employers.
