Roma have just made an official bid for Fiorentina's Romanian star striker Adrian Mutu, but former Giallorosso defender Aldair, currently with San Marino side Murata, advised the management to consider another player entirely.
"Until now the club have done well on the transfer market, Riise is undoubtedly a reinforcement," he said, "as well as Loria and the young players coming back from loan spells. But I think that, while in defence they are fine, up front they still lack a winger and a powerful striker.
"Considering the resources available, I think it would be a good deal to buy Djibril Cissé. Although he's been through tough times recently, the French-Ivorian player would be perfect for Roma also because he won't cost too much."
Aldair was a true Roma legend, as he played for the club for 13 years before leaving for Genoa in 2003. In 2007 he joined San Marinoan side Murata. With the Brazilian national team, he won the World Cup in 1994.
