Iaquinta Rejects ‘Same Old Rumours’
Unsettled Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta deflected speculation of a possible departure from Turin and expressed his desire to remain with the club.

However, the former Udinese man, who scored 8 goals in 24 league appearances last term, did concede that he may struggle for first-team football during the upcoming season.
“This time around there are four of us, plus Giovinco, who will battle for a spot up front,” he observed. “We are all hoping to do well and achieve great results for Juventus. The squad has been strengthened and this should allow us to compete with anyone next term.”
Iaquinta has been capped 23 times for Italy but lost his spot in the Azzurri squad due to his limited amount of playing time. Though he may have been assertive today in defining his position at Juventus, rumours of a move to Roma are unlikely to die down in the coming weeks, as Luciano Spalletti has openly declared his liking for the attacker.
