Milito, 28, has failed to produce the same goal-scoring form that saw him bag twenty-three goals last season, scoring just ten during the current campaign.

With Zaragoza facing the possible threat of relegation it could be time for the Argentine striker to move on and Napoli are interested in taking him back to Italy, where he enjoyed a successful two year spell with Serie B side Genoa, according to a report in the 'Gazzetta dello Sport'.

Zaragoza are thought to have slapped a €15million price tag on the head of the player, but Napoli are said to be hopeful that they can negotiate the price down, regardless of whether or not Zaragoza can maintain their top flight status.

Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has promised that the club will attract a number of big name players in time for next season and senior director Pier Paolo Marino is apparently keen on forming an all-Argentine striker pairing of Milito and Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Milito is just one of a number of strikers that have been linked with Napoli in recent days, with Cruzeiro's Marcelo Moreno and Nacional's Bruno Fornaroli also being tracked by the Azzurri.
