thumbnail Hello,

The Reds are looking to keep Manchester United at bay in the race for the Premier League top four by recording a third win in a row

Liverpool will look to boost their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League when they return to Anfield to take on Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Reds picked up priceless back-to-back wins at Stoke City and West Brom to keep Manchester United and Arsenal at arm's length in the race for the top four.

Klopp wary of a familiar foe at Palace

They will now hope to continue their good form at Anfield, where they have not been beaten in the English top flight since January.

GAME PREVIEW

Jurgen Klopp Liverpool Premier League

While they were the superior side on paper in both games, six points out of six was no guarantee for Liverpool from visits to Stoke City and West Brom in their past two Premier League outings.

That they return to Anfield with maximum points in the bag is a huge boost to their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League, and also a major step in the right direction as far as the bigger picture goes. Jurgen Klopp's men have played indifferently away from home against mid-table opposition for much of the season, but are now showing an ability to win ugly on their travels.

The path back to Europe's top competition is clear: taking care of home games against Crystal Palace, Southampton and Middlesbrough and getting something from winnable fixtures at Watford and West Ham will surely be enough.

That is not to say that it will be entirely straightforward, given that Klopp is dealing with another end-of-season injury pile-up that gives more credence to the claims that his high-energy style of play has its consequences, but the finish line is in sight.

As long as the German can put a consistent back four and Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino on the pitch, the Reds should have enough. Palace have taken three points against Chelsea and Arsenal in recent weeks, however, and would no doubt love to do so again to edge closer towards confirming their survival.
