The Dutchman has been on vacation following the Netherlands' run to third place at the World Cup but is still set to be rested for the Premier League opener versus Swansea City.Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has confirmed that he has returned to first-team training following his post-World Cup break.
The Dutchman was afforded a prolonged vacation, missing the club's tour of North America, after his exploits for the Netherlands. The Oranje finished third in the World Cup.
Meanwhile Louis van Gaal, his manager in Brazil and now at the club level, said Van Persie is set to be rested for the Premier League opener against Swansea City, adding that he hoped the 30-year-old could get up to speed as quickly as possible.
