Theo Walcott is targeting a return from injury in time for Arsenal’s preseason preparations.
The 25-year-old has been sidelined since Jan. 4 after requiring surgery on a cruciate ligament injury and will miss England’s World Cup campaign.
Walcott refuses to put a time frame on his recovery but is hopeful that he can build his fitness in time for the new season.
“It’s coming along well,” Walcott told Sky Sports' "Goals on Sunday." “It’s a long, tedious treatment. I’m not looking to put months on it and I’ll keep working week by week. I’m hopeful that I will be involved for some part of preseason.”
