Chelsea names strong squad for USA preseason tour

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has named a strong 25-man squad for the club's preseason tour of the United States, which includes games in the Guinness International Champions Cup.

Youngster Tomas Kalas been forced to withdraw through injury, but summer arrivals Mark Schwarzer, Marco van Ginkel and Andre Schurrle are all included.

Belgium international duo Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku also feature after impressing since returning from loans spells at Werder Bremen and West Brom.

Chelsea's first match is against Serie A giant Inter Milan on Friday in Indianapolis in its ICC opener, before facing either AC Milan or Valencia in the next round, and one of Real Madrid, Juventus, Everton and the LA Galaxy in its final ICC game. The club concludes its second U.S. trip this offseason against Roma at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 10.

Chelsea has won all three of its preseason games since Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge - beating Singh All-Stars 1-0, Malaysia XI 4-1 and Indonesia All-Stars 8-1.
