The 49-year-old first-team coach is set to hold talks over his position at Old Trafford after David Moyes was appointed as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor on ThursdayManchester United first-team coach Rene Meulensteen admits that his future at the club is uncertain following Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement.
The 49-year-old originally joined United in 2001 before leaving for Brondby in 2006, although the Dutchman returned to Old Trafford less than a year later.
It has not yet been confirmed whether or not incoming manager David Moyes will bring any members of his coaching staff from Everton to United this summer, while Meulensteen is set to hold talks over his future at the end of the season.
"When Ferguson leaves, then we are going to brainstorm about my role at Old Trafford," he told De Telegraaf. "I don't know what happens now. I am uncertain about the future."
