The U.S. international insists the Potters will do everything possible to turn their form around, also calling on the support of the fans.

Stoke City and U.S. international defender Geoff Cameron is convinced the Potters can turn around their current form, starting with a win over Newcastle at St. James' Park this weekend.

Tony Pulis' side has won just once in nine Premier League outings, losing three of its last four games. The Potters' poor form has seen them slip to 11th in the table, and Cameron said that the players are aware they need to reverse the club's fortunes.

“We’re going through a down part in our season right now,” Cameron told the club's official website. “We were flying around Christmas time, and playing really, really well, but we’ve hit a sticky patch, and we have played some tough teams in this run too.

“It’s kind of brought us into this declining run of form, but that said, I believe that we have the guys here to turn things around for us.

“There have been games where we haven’t got what we maybe deserved, but that’s football, and we won’t look for excuses.

“We have to get back to playing the way we know we can play, and if we do that then the performances and results will start to come again.”

The 27-year-old former Houston Dynamo man admits the fans are within their rights to be frustrated with recent performances, but insists the team needs their famous support if they want to return to good form.

“I think they are frustrated at the performances and the results, just as much as we are,” Cameron said. “People have to be careful what they say though, because its easy to say things like we aren’t very good, and we aren’t doing this, that and the other, but we have to remain positive, and keep looking forward.

“I totally understand their frustrations, but the more we stick together the more chance we have of getting things back on track again.

“Our fans are absolutely incredible, and they have been amazing throughout the season. We want to get the results for them, and try to get back into the top half of the table for them. They deserve that.”
