Following an impressive beginning to his career at the Liberty Stadium, the Spaniard is hopeful of more success for the Swans after four goals in three games for the club

Swansea star Michu has spoken of his delight at the impressive start he has made to his Premier League career, and is hopeful of further success this season.

Michu, who moved to the Liberty Stadium for 2 million pounds from Rayo Vallencano, is joint top-scorer in the Premier League with four goals in three games, and is enjoying life in Wales.

“It has been a dream start," he told the club’s official website. “The team has played very well. We have scored 10 goals and only conceded two."

He added, “To have seven points after three games shows we have done very well so far. We are playing to our strengths, and everyone is enjoying the way we play.”

Michu is also enjoying the regime of manager Michael Laudrup, and the style of football he has encouraged, with their fluid football catching the eye so far this season.

“We have some very good players here," Michu said.  “I really enjoy playing with this team – the manager wants us to play football - pass and move, pass and move. I think everyone enjoys watching us play."

Michu says there are differences between the Premier League and La Liga that have given him some advantages.

“The big difference for me is that in the Premier League there seems to be more space available for players to run into. In La Liga, it is very, very tactical which means you don’t have that option."

The Spaniard has also been impressed with the support both he and the team has received from the Swansea fans, who he feels have made a real difference so far.

“We don’t have the money like the other clubs, but we have a full stadium every game and the supporters are so passionate about the club. That means a lot for a footballer, seeing the fans at every game filling the stadium," he said.

“Even for the away game at QPR, we walk out of the tunnel and there are over 2,000 fans in the away section. They are amazing."

“When they shout my name I feel very proud. But hopefully we will give them a lot more to shout about this season.”
