The Belgian international completed his first full 90 minutes for the Toffees, after recovering from a knee injury he suffered playing for former club Olympiakos.
Talking to evertonfc.com, the versatile forward told fans that there's more work to be done, even though he was very pleased with how his debut went.
He said: “That was only my fourth game, including my pre-season, so I am a long way from peak condition and there is a lot more to come from me.
“Training has been tough but I am getting there. I am not afraid of hard work. I am a hard worker myself and I know you need to put it in to get success.
Although it was clear that the forward wasn't at full fitness, the performance was still very promising for Everton fans.
“I really enjoyed it and could not be happier. It was a dream debut to score two goals and was a night I will remember," Mirallas said.
Everton fans will now be expecting more goals from Mirallas. But after the start the toffees have had with convincing wins over Manchester United and Aston Villa, the striker reiterates that his place is down to the decision of the manager.
“As I have said, my physical condition is not perfect yet,” he continued. “I am tired after the 90 minutes [against Orient]. Hopefully I can play some part this weekend [against West Brom] but the manager will know when it is the right time for me to start.”Follow GOAL.COM USA on
