Kompany after more success with Manchester City

The defender feels last season's success will live long in his and the memories of supporters but is now looking to push on and garner more silverware with the club.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has outlined his desire to repeat the success of last campaign and win more trophies at the Etihad Stadium.

Roberto Mancini’s side won the Premier League in dramatic fashion on the last day of the campaign as late goals from Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero stole the title away from Manchester United in the dying seconds of the game.

Kompany believes the story of that final day clash will live long in the memories of City fans, but feels more determined to put that triumph behind him and focus on winning more silverware.

"The last game was a game that will remain a very strong part of our history. I think there will be people speaking about this game for 50, 100 years to come," he told the club’s in-house television channel. "But in the same way I have enjoyed it, I am looking forward already. One of the main things for me is to not keep looking back at this game for too long. I just want to move on.

"It has been a big story all over the world. I have traveled a lot and met a lot of people from different countries and all of them have got their reminder of that particular moment. All of them have somehow experienced it in a special way. But looking forward for me, this is over now. It is about what lies ahead."
