Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has admitted that he already knows where he is going once the winter transfer window opens in January.
There has been a lot of speculation concerning the future of the experienced forward, and Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas recently conceded that the club had accepted a transfer request from the Frenchman. The Chelsea manager confirmed that defender Alex's desire to move away from Stamford Bridge would also be granted.
Now Anelka insists that he already knows where he will be playing once the window opens, while Montreal Impact coach Jesse Marsch recently revealed exclusively to Goal.com that the club had held "very good" discussions with the forward.
"I've known for a little while where I'll be on January 2," Anelka said in a statement on his official website. "The club, which is going through a difficult time, has decided to work with Chelsea's players of the future and, as I am a good professional, I have accepted this."
But for the moment, Anelka remains a member of Chelsea's squad as it prepares to lock horns in a crucial Champions League clash against Valencia.
