thumbnail Hello,

After earning a point for his side at Anfield, the shot-stopper claims Kenny Dalglish's men look to the striker too much and reveals he teased him ahead of Saturday's game

Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorm has suggested Liverpool are a one-man team who relies too heavily on striker Luis Suarez.

"Maybe they rely too much on Suarez," he told reporters. "He is a player with incredible qualities, world class, and I've played a lot of times against him in Holland.

"He is a player who can make a difference. But against us he didn't, and they didn't score. Maybe because we kept him quiet they didn't have other options. We did our homework and worked hard to deny him the chances."

The Swans valiantly earned a 0-0 draw at Anfield on Saturday afternoon and were applauded off the field at full-time by the Liverpool fans for their efforts.

Suarez has found early success with Kenny Dalglish’s outfit, but could not earn Liverpool its second league win on the bounce against the top-flight’s newcomers and Vorm believes part of the problem at the weekend was that they turned to the Uruguayan too frequently.

The Dutch keeper has conceded against Suarez before and joked prior to the match that he would not be so fruitful this time round.

"Suarez has scored a few goals against me, so it is funny to see him again," Vorm added. "I was telling him I was going to stop him. And when Kuyt put the ball in the net, the first thing I always do is look at the ref, and he was indicating it was offside.

"Then I saw it was Kuyt and I was happy because I knew I would meet up with him on the Monday with the national team."

A former Utrecht player, Vorm clashed with Liverpool last season in the Europa League, where they too earned a point and knew that Anfield was not a place to be feared.

"With Utrecht we drew here also, so I knew we didn't have to be afraid of Anfield," he concluded. "We weren't overawed."
