The England man moved to the capital club in the summer transfer window, and the Ivorian is looking forward to playing against him, but warns his side game will not be easy.Manchester City’s Yaya Toure has said he is looking forward to taking on Shaun Wright-Phillips this Saturday when his team face QPR at Loftus Road.
Toure, who scored a brace in Wednesday’s Champions League win over Villarreal, has revealed that he and his teammates will be delighted to see Wright-Phillips, who left City in the summer.
“It will be nice to see Shaun again, he’s a great player and a fantastic guy,” he told mcfc.co.uk. “Everybody at the club loves him, and the fans love him, too."
City flew straight to the capital following its win in Europe to make sure it is fully prepared for its clash against Neil Warnock’s men, who recently shocked Chelsea when they beat them 1-0 at home – and Toure is aware that it will not be an easy match.
“It will be a fantastic game as well. QPR are doing well at home now, they beat Chelsea in their derby match the other week, so we know it will be a tough game,” he added. “And we will have to concentrate on our game. We have to look at the football, that is what’s important to us, to make sure that we build on what we have done already this season.”
