Kuyt: Every game until the end of the season is a 'must-win'
Dutchman praises the impact of Kenny Dalglish since taking over as manager and is keen for his team to put together a run and claim a Europa League spot for next season
By Matthew Woodward
Liverpool winger Dirk Kuyt has challenged his team-mates to go the rest of the season undefeated and attempt to win the remaining seven games in order to secure European football next season.
Tottenham currently lead fifth position by five points with a game in hand over the Reds, who feel frustrated they did not capitalize on their weekend trip to the Hawthorns – an encounter they lost 2-1.
However, Kenny Dalglish’s men have a couple of table-defining fixtures ahead of them in the coming months, notably two Anfield clashes against both Manchester City and Spurs.
"For us it's a must-win game," said Kuyt about Monday night’s game against City.
"We have to move on from West Brom and there's another big game coming up. We have to make sure the three points stay at Anfield.
"Every game between now and the end of the season is a must-win for us and that's what we must try to do.
"We have to make sure we keep going and hopefully we can start a run by Monday.
"I think since the arrival of Kenny Dalglish we've had a pretty good run, but also some very disappointing results against West Brom and West Ham."
