The report claims the ex-England boss wants to snap up the experienced campaigner on loan during the MLS off-season, which Beckham has done in the past two seasons with AC Milan.
The LA Galaxy star has returned to action after a long absence with an Achilles tendon injury, which ruled him out of last summer’s World Cup in South Africa.
Eriksson and Beckham are reportedly still close after their spell working together for the national team, although it may be difficult to persuade his current club to allow him to leave, with them said to be angry after losing out on their prized asset for so long to an injury picked up elsewhere.

A source close to Eriksson reportedly told the newspaper: “Sven thinks he has a chance and he is a very smooth operator when it comes to these things.”
