David Beckham's agent, Simon Oliveira, has confirmed the player's intention to continue his footballing career despite his latest injury setback.
The on-loan Milan midfielder broke his achilles tendon in Sunday's league match against Chievo, which the Rossoneri won 1-0 courtesy of a late goal from Clarence Seedorf.
"David is a person who heals quickly, he knows he will likely miss the World Cup, but is a very positive individual," he said, according to tuttomercatoweb.
"We have to see what happens after the scan and surgery, but it's not the end of his career. He still has two seasons left with the Los Angeles Galaxy. He is anxious to return to Major League Soccer."
Beckham was on his way to Finland to see a specialist on Monday.
