Chelsea's Frank Lampard: 'Thank You, Manchester City'
The England international has thanked the Citizens for waking his side up.

Frank Lampard has declared that Chelsea will have Manchester City to thank if they go on to win the Premier League this season.
A 4-2 defeat to the Citizens at Stamford Bridge 10 days ago marked the home side’s first loss at their ground this term, and the Blues captain has credited the set-back as a possible turning point in Chelsea’s title run.
“Everyone has them, results like that. We’ve been as good as anyone over the last few weeks, but they can happen,” Lampard told the Daily Star.
“Maybe they can be a kick in the right direction and help you react positively. I think we did that this week by beating Stoke.
“Hopefully it can make us more aware and make sure we get back on it, especially at home, for the rest of the season.”
With a win over Wolverhampton on Saturday, Manchester United has gone top of the Premier League, two points ahead of the Blues, who earned a FA Cup semi-final berth last on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Stoke City.Despite seeing their rivals overtake his team in the Premier League this weekend, Lamps is not too worried.
“We may not be top, but that’s only because of the game in hand. I think it’s important to block that out.
“We have some injuries, but you have to dig in around the rest of the squad, which is very strong.”
