Landon Donovan Wins Everton Player Of The Month

The on-loan American has received the club's monthly award.

Everton's on-loan American midfielder Landon Donovan has been honored by the club as Player of the Month for January after scoring once in five matches and adding an assist on his debut.

Donovan has helped Everton to a nice run of form since joining the club in the winter transfer window and was happy to gain the award, which is voted on by the fans of the club.

"It's a privilege to receive the recognition as it comes from the supporters," the 27-year-old told the club's official website.

Everton will be back in action Saturday with a big home fixture against Manchester United.
