Fabregas: Arsenal Football Club Is More Important Than Every Single Player In Its History
Gunners skipper happy with life at the Emirates after win over Liverpool.

Arsenal defeated rivals Liverpool with a 1-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium, and captain Cesc Fabregas shrugged off suggestions Liverpool could have had a late penalty.
“I don't know, there have been so many incidents that he [the referee] has got wrong...a lot against us, a lot against them so I think it has been a 50-50 in that case,” he told Sky Sports.
“Maybe I touched it a little bit with my hand but also with my head, I mean, if I didn't touch it with my hand I would have touched it with my head anyway,” continued the Spaniard. “I don't know, maybe yes.”
Fabregas admitted it had been a tough game and said he was happy to have done the league double over Liverpool.
“Well it has been a difficult game because both those teams, I think we were under a lot of pressure and it's good – we beat them twice this year, it's not easy because Liverpool, they are a great team,” he said.
“We played quite well in the first half as well, they put a lot of pressure on us and we pushed them high and at the end we had the victory and I think we deserved it,” explained Fabregas. “There has been a little bit of speculation about our team and stuff and it's always nice to get a win.”
Arsenal's captain has been linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer and Fabregas moved to draw a line under the affair.
“They have denied it, I have denied it. I just want to focus on Arsenal,” he stated. “I think Arsenal Football Club is above everything, every single player in its history and their fans, and the club, and myself – I think we deserve a little bit more respect.”
