Manchester United's man of the match Nani was delighted with both his team's performance and his own form after their 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Nani played a starring role for United, with a wonderful flick past two Arsenal defenders leading to the opening goal for United and then laid on a wonderful assist for Wayne Rooney to score United's second.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Nani was pleased with the clinical victory over their title rivals.

"We had a very good game last Wednesday and everyone said Arsenal was a big game," he said.

"We have to have the same match to handle this game and we have to play every game like this."

When asked whether this was his best game for United, the midfielder said: "I think so, I score a good game and had many chances to score.

"It was a fantastic performance and I'm so happy to help my team in this way."

One of the main talking points of the game was a masterful piece of skill which left two Arsenal players beaten as he set up United's opener courtesy of Manuel Almunia's hand.

When asked to explain his recent upturn in form, he added: "I'm working every day hard to be fit to play for the team.

"Every player [is] having to be strong when they come in, to play very well. I'm very happy because I feel happy with my players, my team-mates, the manager and the fans.

"I'm very happy and I want to keep doing the same things."
