Manchester City's new boss Roberto Mancini has exhibited almost Jose Mourinho-style confidence by outlining ambitions to win five league titles with the club.

The Italian makes his debut in the Eastlands hot seat against Stoke on Saturday, but he appears to be looking further ahead.

"I hope when I eventually leave, I'll leave the club with five league titles and four cups,” he said in The Sun.

Mark Hughes’ replacement also reiterated his and the club’s targets for this and next season.

"This season the target is the top four. Next season we want to be first in the Premier League."
