Cesc Fabregas: Arsenal Can Win Trophies With Style
Winning with style is important says Cesc.
Cesc Fabregas has insisted that Arsenal's brand of free-flowing football is capable of winning trophies.
Arsene Wenger has long advocated the need for his teams to entertain and play attractive football, but while the Gunners continue to win fans for exactly that, they have failed to win a major trophy since 2005.
The London club finished a distant fourth in the Premier League last season, but Fabregas insisted that his beloved Arsenal were capable of winning trophies while maintaining their current mode of play.
"I know we are capable of winning trophies, I can never accept that we must change our style to win," the Spanish midfielder said to Sky Sports.
"Trophies are important, but so too is the style in which you play the game.
"I disagree with the argument that good football can't win trophies.
"We are desperate to please the fans with success, but we also want to make them happy with the way we play."
Fabregas reiterated his commitment to the Emirates outfit after recent reports once again linked him with a move back to Spain.
"I have always said that I am happy at Arsenal," he insisted.
"No matter how many times I say I am content here, there are still stories about me going back to Spain.
"This is my home and I have no plans to leave."
