Ancelotti States 'Difficult' Personal Days Marred 5-0 Blackburn Victory
"Best performance" of Carlotti's tenure, but he laments father's sickness.
Carlo Ancelotti spent little time celebrating Chelsea's 5-0 win over Blackburn Rovers, a victory hailed by the rookie Premier League boss as the "best performance" of his tenure at Stamford Bridge, as he flew back to Italy in order to be with his sick father.
"It has been difficult time but this is life," Ancelotti is quoted as saying on the official website of the Premier League.
"I hope my father will be better in the next day. I have a free day and will go back to Italy and return on Monday but I think my father will be better.
"These are difficult days but after Monday I think he will be better and I can stay here without problems," concluded the former AC Milan boss.
Manchester United's inability to defeat Liverpool, instead succumbing to a 2-0 loss, means Chelsea have now opened up a two-point cushion at the top of the Premier League with their thrashing of Rovers.
The west Londoners have amassed 24 points from ten games.
