American Nguyen Set To Train With Arsenal
The Texas-native is trying to transition to the English Premier League.
After spending a year in Vietnam, 22-year-old American forward Lee Nguyen is heading to England to train with EPL club Arsenal.
"I'm just going over there to train with Arsenal right now for two or three weeks and then maybe going elsewhere after that to another club,” said Nguyen to Yanks Abroad.
Last season Nguyen played for Hoang Anh Gia Lai and tallied nine goals in 24 appearances. He’s also spent time with PSV Eindhoven and Danish club Randers.
"First I'm going to see how I do these upcoming weeks over in London and go from there," he concluded.
The former Indiana University player will should have a better idea about his future in the coming weeks and a strong training spell with Arsenal could certainly open some doors for one of the U.S.'s bright young talents.
