Wenger's Danish delight hopes that he can bag himself an orthodox striking role with the Gunners...Nicklas Bendtner has admitted that he would prefer to play as an out-and-out striker with Arsenal, rather than be deployed as a winger.
With the departure of Emmanuel Adebayor from the club and Bendtner having grown another year in terms of experience, the 21-year-old hopes that he can use the extra game time to secure himself a central striking role with the London-based outfit.
"I am an attacker, not a winger," Bendtner said in Berlingske Tidene. "I have always seen myself as a striker and it is my goal to play as a striker all the time.
"It is important for me to play and when Arsene tells me to play a position I'll do that.
"Last season I played a lot from the left side and this season it's been on the right side but, like I said, I prefer to play up front."
