Drogba & Rooney See Odds Shortened In Golden Boot Betting
The race to the top of the goal charts is already hotting up!
Chelsea and Manchester United's top strikers found the back of the net at the weekend and are hotly tipped to go from strength to strength.
Fernando Torres remains bet365's 4/1 favourite to be Premier League Top Goalscorer this season, although the Spaniard looked out of form during his team's 2-1 defeat at Tottenham on Sunday. The Liverpool striker will be looking to make amends against Stoke City on Wednesday.
However, Didier Drogba had no problems finding the net on Saturday, and the Ivorian's brace has seen his odds cut to 6/1, should he repeat his Golden Boot achievement of three seasons ago. He might have been fortunate to score the late winner against Hull, although his attitude cannot be questioned this season.
Similarly, Wayne Rooney looks like he’s going to be a constant menace to opposition defences this term and is 8/1 with bet365 to beat his rivals in the scoring charts. The Manchester United forward scored the only goal of the game against Birmingham City and will clearly be a force to be reckoned with this season.
