Manchester City’s latest recruit Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed that he feels there is a big chance that Chelsea captain John Terry could be lured to Eastlands.

The Citizens have been linked with a move for the England captain for most of the summer and with Terry yet to reveal his feelings on his future, speculation continues to mount.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, Adebayor admitted he was hopeful that his new club could capture the centre-back and insisted that anything was now possible.

“I think there is a big possibility John will join us,” said the striker.

”People didn't believe six months ago that Carlos Tevez, or myself, would be playing here.

“We have come to Manchester City to be the big team. Why shouldn't John be persuaded to come here, too?”

Terry is currently with Chelsea on their pre-season tour of the United States and captained his side to victory in their latest fixture, a 2-1 win over Carlo Ancelotti’s former side AC Milan.
