Seol Ki-Hyeon Returns To Fulham
The South Korean ends speculation over his future by staying on at Craven Cottage.
Fulham midfielder Seol Ki-Hyeon has decided to return to the club and fight for a first team place, despite speculation that he was ready to quit Craven Cottage.
Rumours were circulating that the South Korean international was surplus to requirements with the Cottagers, and that he was on the lookout for another club in order to extend his international career.
However, he has now decided to stay with Roy Hodgson's side, believing he can break into the first team as the Cottagers gear up for a Europa League campaign next season.
The Korean joined the club in 2007, but has failed to hold down a regular starting place in the side and has not played much since Hodgson took over.
The 30-year-old was loaned out to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal for the second half of last season, and was expected to leave south London this summer.
But Seol's management agency have claimed that he is eager to work hard for the Cottagers, in order to come back into contention for the World Cup next year.
Speaking to South Korean news agency Yonhap, Seol's representative said, "Seol really wants to try again. He also knows that this could be his last chance."
South Korea have already qualified for the World Cup in South Africa next year, and Seol will be working hard throughout the season to try and claim a spot in the 23-man squad.
