Real Madrid Presidential Candidate Eduardo Garcia Targets Chelsea's Drogba

It is claimed that the Ivory Coast international striker would arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu very quickly indeed were Garcia elected.

Eduardo Garcia has suggested that he will take Chelsea striker Didier Drogba to the Santiago Bernabeu if he is elected as Real Madrid president this summer.

The man responsible for overseeing Los Blancos' 'Galacticos' period Florentino Perez is thought to be favourite to win the presidency.

However, in an attempt to win the election, Garcia claims to have struck a deal which would see the Ivory Coast international wear Los Merengues' famous white shirt from the 2009/10 season onwards.

"We have agreements with three players," Garcia told Spanish publication AS.

"A Champions League centre forward who scores goals in England.

"We could present him just after being elected. With people like Drogba we are looking for immediate results."

It is claimed that the other two players who are being primed for switches to the Spanish capital are Brazilian wonderkid Keirrison, who has scored 19 goals in 21 games for Palmeiras this season, and Racing Santander's 21-year-old Spanish defender Ivan Marcano.
