It is normally common practice to celebrate booking your date to Wembley by reveling in post-match joviality with your team-mates, yet the focus in Arsenal's dressing-room after knocking Hull City out of the FA Cup would have instead been centered on the accusations leveled at Cesc Fabregas.
The Spanish playmaker was accused of encroaching on the field of play after the final whistle and spitting at Phil Brown's Hull City assistant manager, Brian Horton.
This allegation, though, has been fiercely denied by Fabregas.
"I categorically deny that I spat at anybody after the match," the 21-year-old midfield maestro clarified on the club's official website.
"I have never done this in my whole career on the pitch, so why would I do it when I am not even playing?
"I can understand the frustration of losing a game to a dubious goal, that has happened to me many times in my career as well," he claimed.
"But this is not the fault of me or any of the Arsenal players."
Horton is expected to file a case with the FA this (Wednesday) morning.
