Bolton Wanderers Make Offer For Miguel Veloso

The Trotters are hopeful of landing the Portuguese international midfielder.

Miguel Veloso - Portugal
Bolton Wanderers have made a bid of €12.5 million (£12 m) for Miguel Veloso, according to a report in the British tabloid the Daily Mirror.

The 22-year-old plies his trade with Sporting Lisbon and is regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in Europe.

The Portugal international, who has won seven caps to date, has been linked with a move to some of the biggest clubs in Europe and recently with a switch to both Manchester United and Manchester City.

With Sporting apparently holding out for a fee in the region of €20.9 m (£20 m), the Trotters would pull off a major coup should their bid prove to be successful.

However, it is claimed that Wanderers are confident of landing the 5ft 11in midfielder and will send officials to Portugal to finalise negotiations next week.
