Moyes: Expect More Of The Same, Liverpool

After last night's 1-1 Premier League draw at Anfield, the Toffees manager is promising another uncompromising performance from his men when the sides meet in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Everton's David Moyes was pleased with his side's performance in claiming a valuable point from city rivals Liverpool at Anfield last night. The Toffees managed to garner a share of the spoils with a late equalizer courtesy of the indomitable Tim Cahill, and the determined nature of their performance will be repeated at the weekend, Moyes has warned Liverpool.

Moyes acknowledges that whilst his squad is too small for him to rotate and field a different line-up on Sunday, his opposite number, Spaniard Rafa Benitez, has several options.

"Who knows what players Liverpool will field? He [Benitez] has the squad and the numbers to change things around, I don't. You won't see much difference from us, we will just be doing the same things," said the Scot today, before elaborating on his delight with Cahill (pictured).

"Tim can be a center-forward. I can see that in him. He comes up with important goals and it is good players that can do that. If you can do that at big, important moments in matches, it shows you are a big player. And Tim is that.

"But this result will have little bearing on the Cup tie. We achieved things we wanted to achieve. We disrupted Liverpool's rhythm, they have a lot of mechanical, organized, moves and set-ups in their play."

The tough-talking Moyes also feels that the draw was a sign of just how much Everton have progressed on their relatively thin resources, certainly when compared with the kind of funds that Champions League sides can routinely call upon.

He continued: "For us it is another point against a really good team who are buying players to win championships. We are not.

"So these sort of results show how far Everton have come. The stability we have at our club gives us the strength to come to a really big club and get a good result."
