Report: Didier Drogba Set For Chelsea Recall

The Drog will be let off the leash this weekend after spending a few games chained up on the sidelines.

Sources in the English media report that Didier Drogba will be reinstated in the Chelsea first team for Saturday's FA Cup fourth round tie against Ipswich Town.

The Ivorian striker has featured only twice since the turn of the year, his last appearance coming in the Blues' comprehensive defeat to Manchester United on January 11.

Indeed, he was absent altogether as the Londoners battled their way to a 2-1 victory over Stoke City at the weekend, with youngsters Franco di Santo and Miroslav Stoch preferred on the bench.

Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has made no secret of the fact that Drogba must greatly improve his attitude both on and off the pitch, as he is often seen as a disruptive influence at Stamford Bridge.

Nevertheless, the 30-year-old will get a chance to redeem himself against the Tractor Boys, with Premier League top-scorer Nicolas Anelka expected to sit out.
