Eboue: I'm Stronger Since The Fans Booed Me
Eboue insists that being booed by a giant stadium full of disgruntled Gunners fans has made him a stronger person and a better player.
Much-maligned Arsenal player Emmanuel Eboue was hooked after an error-strewn display became too much for the Emirates faithful to take. They took out their frustrations on the 25-year-old Ivorian as the Gunners struggled at home to Wigan Athletic.
Although boss Arsene Wenger brought him off, he immediately tipped him to come back stronger. Just a month after that infamous game against the Latics, Eboue feels that he's now a man of steel.
He told Arsenal's official website: "Yes, I feel stronger. I'd just like to say thank you to my friends in the team, to the staff and to the boss.
"They helped me a lot after that game, because I was very disappointed and angry with the game.
"I'd tried to give my best but nothing came off for me, and I know these things can happen sometimes."
He then sought to build bridges with the fans, saying: "I have to thank the supporters. Lots of people have said sorry to me and I've received a lot of cards and messages."
The natural right-back has moved to the right side of midfield - a position he claims to be comfortable in despite his shaky displays.
He added: "I feel much better now in this position.
"I'm fully focused on being a midfielder and know what to expect. I can still play at right-back if needed ,though."
