Today's Club World Cup final was a classic example of Top & Flop drama in action. As Manchester United edged their way past LDU Quito there were chances aplenty, but also lots of talking points about individual players. Damian Manso of LDU Quito was impressive, as was goalkeeper Jose Cevallos. Meanwhile United had Wayne Rooney to thank for their goal, and Carlos Tevez also put in a fine shift prior to his substitution.

But other United players failed to capture the imagination of the fans - and one of these was none other than Cristiano Ronaldo! Here are the results of today's Club World Cup Final Top & Flop contest:

As you can see, Wayne Rooney was considered the top pick by the Goal.com team due to his goal and his superb build-up play, while Nemanja Vidic's needless red card earned him the flop spot.

But the fans were impressed by the wizardry of 30-year-old Argentine Damian Manso for LDU Quito, and it is truly the case that he seemed to be the key, if not only dangerman for Liga.

Yet the dubious honor of being the Flop falls to Cristiano Ronaldo. In the opinion of the Goal.com stats team the Portuguese star did not have a disastrous game - while he was not up to his usual high standards he did not fail per se. But it seems that the Goal.com voters are a tough bunch to please - either play as well as you can, or you'll earn their ire!
