Egyptian coach Bob Bradley and defender Wael Gomaa believe their 4-2 win over Zimbabwe is a giant stride towards Brazil 2014.Egypt overpowered Zimbabwe 4-2 in Harare on Sunday to consolidate its Group G lead with 12 points, five ahead of second-placed Guinea.
The team just needs three points from its remaining matches against Mozambique and Guinea to seal a place in the final round of qualification where 10 group winners would be paired for two-legged
“I do not think we have qualified yet because there is still the next stage. We are going one step at a time and beating Zimbabwe is a move in the right direction,” Egypt coach Bob Bradley told a press conference in Zimbabwe.
“We knew this was going to be a big test for us but we managed to sail past it. World Cup qualification is what matters most to us at the moment and it is the pressure we have on ourselves."
Having beaten Mozambique 2-0 at home, Egypt should feel confident in getting a result Sunday against a Mambas side that was hammered 6-1 away in Guinea on Sunday
