Egypt coach Bob Bradley is certain the north African country is set to break a 24-year-old World Cup jinx by qualifying for Brazil 2014.
The Pharaohs beat Guinea 2-3 in Conakry on Sunday to top Group G in their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Bradley told a local TV network that his charges are capable of making it to Southern America.
“Now Egyptians are supposed to believe that they can qualify for the World Cup,” the American said. “It's a reality. We are putting in a lot of effort into achieving this long term dream.”
With the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualification coming up this weekend, Bradley said, “Now we have to change our thoughts from thinking of the World Cup to thinking of the 2013 Afcon as we'll face Central Africa next Friday."
