Cameroon’s Sports Minister on Wednesday announced the appointment of two vice-captains for the national team to assist current captain Samuel Eto’o.

Ajax midfielder Enoh Eyong is the first vice-captain while the second is AS Monaco defender Nicolas Nkoulou.

Eto’o was appointed captain by former coach Paul Le Guen, who led the Lions to the 2010 World Cup where they crashed out in the group stage. Le Guen was fired thereafter, with Spanish-born manager Javier Clemente succeeding him.

Cameroon will play Mauritius in Bellevue on September 4 as part of the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
