It is now confirmed that the Black Stars of Ghana will lock horns in an international friendly with South American World Cup finalists Paraguay in Rustenburg, South Africa on March 3.
The Ghana FA said the friendly has been set up to kick-start Ghana's preparations for the World Cup finals in South Africa.
The FA vice-President Fred Pappoe said: "I can confirm that Ghana will play Paraguay in South Africa but it has been quite difficult finding an opponent for this FIFA free date.”
"The coach has named his players for the match and that will be made public in the course of the week," he told ghanasoccernet.com.
Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac is expected to name some new faces who missed the Africa Cup of Nations, including comeback kid Sulley Muntari, who was dropped from the AFCON for indiscipline.
Ghana are paired in Group D with Serbia, Germany and Australia.
Paraguay are in Group F together with Italy, New Zealand and Slovakia.
